LaVirgin Active Pitt Stst week were given the opportunity to showcase HumanFusion to the members of Virgin Active Australia in Pitt St and Frenchs Forest. The classes we were previewing were TribalFusion and FoxyFusion.

Virgin Active - Pitt St Mall

It was Friday morning in the middle of the Sydney CBD (well Mid City Mall Pitt St to be exact), and I was feeling pumped. We had been given the supreme opportunity to showcase HumanFusion to the members of Pitt St Virgin Active and were they in for a treat!

After being greeted by the wonderful front desk staff, Bec gave me the tour of a lifetime through one of the most inspiring gyms I have ever seen. All the way through being smiled at by not only staff, trainers and instructors but even by members! Our final stop, the level 1 group fitness room. Our first class was 12.15 TribalFusion. I had no idea how many people we would get being the middle of the day on a Friday in the city so when 27 people flowed in, I was impressed! We even had a beautiful lady who was turning 63 years young on the day who came for TribalFusion and ended up staying for both TribalFusion AND FoxyFusion! This blew me away as each class, we burnt an average of 620 calories so this woman was shakin' it big time and had a fantastic level of fitness to keep up the groove for a whole 2 classes. Everyone was sweating and panting (just the way we like it!) and cheering. We were having a ball together. 50 minutes later we were all sweaty yet relaxed and smiling.... all ready for the next class - FoxyFusion.

1.15pm FoxyFusion, we had a delightful 19 people (we lost a few who had to go back to work), who all ready to sweat and grind all over again. FoxyFusion 02 release involves a boa/towel/tie/scarf so everyone was getting to know their gym towel in a way they didn't realise was possible! With plenty of giggles, we set out steaming up the room whilst burning a further 649 calories. Our goal was 600 and everyone was so keen to push past that we missed it when we hit it! LOL. After another great hour with the Virgin Active Pitt St members, I was treated to a nap... yes... a nap... in the napping room. A tiny pod that soothes you to sleep in 20 minute blocks. You seriously HAVE to try it!

Virgin Active - Frenchs Forest

Saturday morning was a glorious sunny day and as I drove into the mammoth car park of Virgin Active Frenchs Forest, I knew we were in for a treat once again. Our first class was 10.45 TribalFusion. As I set myself up and chatted to the early arrivers, I was noticing the constant flow of participants coming in... 20, 30, 35, 47, 50, 59, and then our last member came in just after the warm up started making it 61 people! The room was full of our newest clan and we were caveman-ing our way up and down the studio in no time at all. A fantastic demographic of mixed ages, shapes, sizes and backgrounds only solidified that our classes truly are for everyone.

Our 11.45 FoxyFusion saw most people staying on with another full room with 57 people! This one was a class for those ready to cause a stir as we sauntered, shook and flossed with our gym towels whilst grinning our heads off. The energy was effervescent and I LOVED the vibe in the room. The class was over way too soon!

Instructor training

After two gruelling yet fun classes, we then started our Instructor Training (kindly hosted in Virgin Active Frenchs Forest). After already 2 solid hours of dancing, our new instructors were well versed in the class structure and ready to learn more.  We even had the stunning Chantell from Virgin Active Frenchs Forest in there after her Aqua Zumba class despite being unwell.

This flowed on to Sunday where we finished up at 5.30pm as we watched the storm clouds roll in on the Sydney skyline from the studio. All in all, a terrific day and I was quite sad to leave Virgin Active but will be back to train up the rest of the team soon!

Thanks so much and welcome to the Crew Kylie, Chantell, Michelle and David!
